Although, our cooperation with the one of the most well established telecommunication carriers of Cyprus is continuing, since OptimumCE L.L.C. was awarded a new Cyta’s contract. This contract is dealing primarily with the renewal or the acquisition of town planning and building permits for existing or new telecommunications structures, respectively, all over Cyprus. Furthermore, it includes a wide range of other, diverse civil engineering consultancy services. Some of the indicative tasks are:
• the assessment of the bearing capacity of existing buildings and of their capacity to accommodate rooftop antennas and other telecommunication equipment,
• the evaluation of the bearing capacity of existing rooftop antennas and the derivation of proper strengthening strategies in order to increase the number and the surface of the telecommunication equipment, that they will host,
• the evaluation of the structural studies, that were elaborated for the design of existing high-rise lattice structures and poles, installed in rural plots,
• the assessment of the bearing capacity of existing high-rise lattice structures and poles, installed in rural plots,
• the determination of the maximum telecommunication equipment that the aforementioned structures can host and of the maximum height that this equipment can be installed,
• the retrofit and strengthening of the aforementioned structures, so as to comply with the provisions of the Eurocodes,
• the strengthening of the aforementioned structures, so as to increase the telecommunication equipment that they host, in order to conform to the continuously increasing needs for the hosted telecommunication equipment.
