This five-storey apartment building is planned for construction in Strovolos, Nicosia. The building consists of the ground floor (pilotis), which will be serve as parking and storage area and of four upper stories which will accommodate residential apartments. A ductile coupled wall structural system will be implemented, featuring a thorough spatial configuration of appropriately sized shear walls. This derived solution will significantly enhance the seismic performance of the building and will efficiently control its torsional displacements arising from the architectural plan irregularities. In addition, particular consideration has been given in the design of the curved structural walls and beams. Furthermore, emphasis has been placed on the design of the top floor slabs, where a swimming pool is located.
