Composite House in Limassol

Architect: Ifigenia Hadjidimitriou Tsikkini
Size: 405 m²
Project description:

Composite two story structure built in Erimi, Limassol. The distinctiveness of this building relies on the utilization of three structural materials. The main structure is supported by timber, diagonally braced, frame walls, apart from the attached garage which partially rests on concrete columns. The floor frame system is comprised of solid wood primary and secondary beams, while a few greater spans and a cantilever were fabricated with steel sections, instead of timber trusses, due to the height constraint of the stories.
