The objective of this project was the assessment of the bearing capacity of varying height, rooftop guyed masts. The task involved firstly the analyses the main structures and secondly the analyses of the structural connections. The structural response of the masts, under the imposition of wind, earthquake, live, temperature and icing actions, was rigorously explored. Moreover, the structural nature of the masts necessitated the performance of nonlinear geometrical analyses, due to the susceptibility of these structures to second order effects and due to the existence of cable elements.
