PARK ROYAL

Architect: Michalis Pallikarides
Size: 5,200 m²
Project description:

This ten-storey, mixed-use building with basement will be constructed in Limassol. The bearing structure consists of hybrid structural system, where the substructure and the upper storeys will be fabricated with reinforced concrete, besides the top storey which will be fabricated with a steel structure. The building comprises a two-level basement, where the lower basement will be utilized as parking area and the upper basement accommodates a gym, hydrotherapy, sauna, jacuzzi areas and swimming pool. The ground floor and mezzanine will operate as retail areas, while the upper storeys will be used as office and residential spaces. Due to the relatively week bearing capacity of the surface soil, a piled raft foundation will be implemented, with cast in situ friction piles extending to depths larger than 20 m, so as to partially transfer the loads to deeper, more stable soil formations. This combination contributes in the reduction of the absolute and the differential settlements and in the improvement of the stability.
