This two-storey building was erected in Engomi, Nicosia and it accommodates the Savvikos restaurant. A steel structural scheme was implemented in the particular project, due to the requirement for accelerated construction. The structural system adopted for both principal horizontal directions is moment resisting frame, due to architectural constraints, which prohibited the application of vertical bracing system. The primary bays’ span is approximately 11 m. A provision for height extension (two stories) of the building was made during the performed design procedure.
